Sketch Saturday- Computer Fun

Hey folks! Saturday has rolled around again and it's time to participate in another sketch over at Sketch Saturday!

Here is my card for today...

I've used LOTV's Computer Fun to create a birthday card for hubbie. Long-time followers will know that my hubbie designs video games for a living so I thought this image was perfect for him! I've coloured with copics and added lyra pencil shadow. The papers are Simple Stories Awesome. The little game console, buttons and sentiment are from the Papertrey Ink Game On set and I think they're a great complement. I added a bit of black recycled thread (that you get attaching clothes labels) to form the console cable.

Here is your close up!

And another!

Here is Jen's fabulous sketch for this week.

MMCS- Let's Chat!

Sometimes it's cool to make a card- just because. Paper Smooches stamps available at MMCS are so fab for that because they're cool and quirky and easy to use...

Here I've used the telephone from the Perpetual Bliss set. I've paper pieced using Teresa Collins Spring Fling papers and added a copic shadow and wee crystal. I used a Mojo Monday sketch and created the banners using the Fishtail Flags Stax Dienamics. The sentiment comes with the stamp set. Finally finished with a bit of machine stitching and a gorgeous butterfly.

Sketch Saturday- Fixafella

Yay! It's Sketch Saturday time and today I have a thank you card to show you...

Here is a card I've made for my father-in-law. He has been doing major building works at our house for the last 4 months (it seems like 4 years!!) so I've made this thank you card for when it finally is all finished. I used Stamping Bella's Fixafella coloured with copics and usual lyra shadow. These papers are Echo Park This and That. Sentiment is PTI from the On My Couch set. I added a little pliers charm and some matching eyelets.

Here's your close up!

Sketch Saturday- Rosie with Cake

Saturday has rolled around again so it's time for Sketch Saturday time! I've still been poorly sick this week still fighting off this cold and cough! I think it's the first cold I've had for about a year so it's making it up for it I think!

For my card I've used Lili of the Valley's Rosie with Cake. I've coloured her with copics, added some white lyra pencil highlights and for shadow underneath her. Also added lots of Stardust Stickles to her. These papers I got for Christmas are First Edition Love Letters- love the colours in this pad.

OMG- forgot to tell you I bought myself a Grand Calibur and some Grand Nesties last week!!! Remember I said on my Crafty-To-Do List that I wanted to try some different shaped cards and I mused whether to get a Grand Calibur or not?... well I did!!! I'm super glad I did as I've used it loads so far which you will see in some upcoming cards!

So this is my first card to show you using my Grand Calibur and Grand Nesties- see a scalloped card?! Cool, huh?!

Anyhoo, the sentiment is a Cats Life Press and I personalised it using MFT Mini Banner Day Alphabet. Corner Bow is a Memory Box die I got for Chrimbo and corner die is a Photo Corner Dienamic.
