New PTI stash!

Look what hubbie brought back from the States....!!!

I mentioned that this year I'd really try to experiment with some CAS cards so I decided to do a "basics" PTI shop ie card, paper, ribbon- NO STAMPS!!! Shock horror! (Though I'm going to buy some later in the year!)

I bought some of the plain silk ribbon for a change as usually I buy the saddlestitch.

Then I got some paper packs-mainly the ones that cover a range of their colours.

And I added some more felt to my collection. I lied- one stamp set- this was free! x

My Mum's Craft Shop- Paper Smooches week!

Hi! Hope you all had a great weekend. Today is Day 2 of Paper Smooches Week over at My Mum's Craft Shop Blog.

Here is my offering using Perpetual Bliss...

This is such a versatile stamp set as it covers both male and female birthdays, quirky romantic cards and  friendship cards. I've decided to make a male birthday card using the Jukebox, musical notes, 10 cent pieces and one of the sentiments- all from the stamp set. I coloured the Jukebox with copics. The paper is MME Miss Caroline Fine and Dandy as I thought they had a retro feel to them. The sentiment was cut out using my trusty Fishtail Flags Stax Dienamics. Finished off with some ribbon from stash and nailheads.

I'd like to enter this into:
That Craft Place-new goodies- my Paper Smooches stamp set
Squirrel and The Fox- something new- as above
Allsorts- masculine
Crafty Calender Challenge- what's new- see above
Sweet Stampin- ribbon

This is one of my attempts at more CAS style cards- I'm scared of white space!!!

The sketch was an old Mojo Monday one.

Sketch Saturday- Linda Cheerleader!

Hallo all! I've not had a great week- hubbie's leaving present (he's been in the US on business this week) was to leave me with his stinking cold and cough. I've been feeling SO miserable this week!! And to add insult to injury, I've not had anyone to make me honey and lemon drinks and generally be sympathetic!! Boooo!

Onto today's card for Sketch Saturday....

Our sponsor this week is The Stamp Fairy and I've used Linda Cheerleader to make a congratulations card. I've coloured Linda with copics and paper pieced her cheerleading outfit and of course used lots of lovely glitter to bling her up. The papers are MME A Happy Heart. The sentiment is a PTI stamp and die set- Wonderful Words. Finally I added some glittery bling from Stamping Bella. As you can see I flipped the bling to the other side as I thought it balanced the sentiment better that way.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafting By Design- polka dots
Digistamps4joy- anything goes
Inky Impressions- celebrate
Simon Says Stamp- paper piecing

Close up! Love her little hair bows!

I love you!

Helloooo! Hope you're all warm and snuggly in this snowy weather. Hubbie is meant to be flying to the US today...we'll see how that goes!!

Today's card is for the MMCS blog and I'm showcasing another CC Designs stamp which is in the SALE for a cheap-as-chips £3.50!! It's a really big stamp as well!

So the stamp I've used is CC Designs' Sweet November Patty coloured with copics. The stamp actually comes with little stars coming out of the rocket but I decided to cut these off as I wanted to use some little die-cut stars instead (made using the Dienamics Star Border). Paper is from the new Echo Park Love Story pad. Scalloped border is the Small Scallop Border Dienamic. The embossed background is made with Crafts Too Embossing folder I got for Christmas. Top sentiment is PTI Wonderful Words and die. Bottom sentiment is PC generated and cut out using Fishtail Flag Stax. Also added Stardust Stickles.

I'd like to enter this into:
Opus Gluei- pink
Avadares Challenge- love or Valentine's day
Daring Cardmakers- embossing
Fairytale- my new stamp- CC Designs stamp

Today's card is for Sketch Saturday DT and is using LOTV's Karate Kid.

Although it's quite a simple card, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I think that's mainly to do with these great papers by Simple Stories called Awesome. Image is coloured with copics. I used the Chevron Dienamic and Star Nesties. Button was recycled from a pair of hubbie's shorts! Lettering is my fav High Rise Alphabet Dienamic.

I'd like to enter this into:

I have used this adorable Lulu image called Lulu's Morning Fix from Stamping Bella. I made this card yonks ago for my Mum's birthday. She rings me every morning just before breakfast and we always say "hellosie"!! So I kind of thought this image was perfect! Papers are MME Dilly Dally- I love the red and blue colours on this. My Mum's Craft Shop- Make a splash!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and managed to get some crafting in.

Today is another themed week over at My Mum's Craft Shop blog. This week's theme is "LOTS OF LAYERS" and I've decided to showcase some products that Kitty has got in the SALE at the moment.

To banish the winter blues, I decided to use this cute CC Designs image called Sweet November Lily...

Can you believe that Kitty has got this in the sale for a ridiculously cheap £3.50?!!! I coloured her with copics and added a lyra pencil sand shadow at her feet. Papers are American Crafts Shoreline and are also in the sale for £3.50. I then added some details with various Die-namics- Sunshine, Catch a Wave and Fishtail Flags Stax. Sentiments are MFT. Flipflops are made using PTI Flippin Out die which I first cut out on chipboard and then added DP on top.

I've used Home Improvement by Kenny K. This image is soooo perfect for one of my friend's who is a property developer!! Though I know she doesn't quite look like that on site but she does have the boots and hard hat!! Anyway the image is coloured with copics. Papers are MME On the Bright Side- perfect with all that distressed wood. The sentiment is Paper Smooches. I used the fence Dienamic and smallest Rounded Banner Stax fixed with eyelets.

Smile!

Smile! Hallo! Today I am showcasing some items from the December MFT release for Kitty over at My Mum's Craft Shop.

I have used Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude coloured with copics and then paper pieced her dress. I cut her out using the new release Insert It Instaframe Dienamic and stamped "smile" from the Document It Captured Memories stamp set. I also used the adorable Accent It Cute Cameras to make the little polaroid camera. The flower was made using the Rolled Daisy die- I know I'm going to use this die loads and finally the Small Scalloped Border Dienamic for the bottom border. The paper is new from the latest Echo Park pad Love Story.

Close up. Love her attitude!

MMCS Challenge

Well better late than never- here is my post for My Mum's Craft Shop's Monthly Challenge which started on Jan 1st! It's been a hectic week as my Mum's been in hospital again so I completely forgot to post this card.

Anyway the deets are that from now on Kitty is running a monthly challenge on the shop blog. The shop DT will be giving you plenty of inspiration as well as our daily posts.

This week's challenge is nice and easy and is ANYTHING GOES. See here for the original post.

Kitty is offering a £20 voucher to the shop for the prize!

I've used The Cat's Pajamas A Girl and Her Cake which I've coloured with copics. I double stamped the cake and her arm to raise up under 3d pads. She is mounted using the Dienamics Rounded Banner Stax. The papers are MME The Sweetest Thing- Honey. The sentiment (which I LOVE!) comes with the stamp set and is cut out using the Dienamics Say What? die. The little teeny heart is cut from a PTI die.
