Sketch Saturday- Me and my cat

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great start to your weekend. Today I have my DT card for Sketch Saturday to show you. Jo has done a really fabbie sketch this week which I really loved using so do go on over and take part. I made a card for our friend's little girl.

My card uses this gorgeously cute image by Lili of the Valley called "Me and My Cat". I coloured with copics and general shading with a bit of lyra pencil. These pretty papers are by MME called "On the Bright Side". I used the Button die from Papertrey Ink to make faux 3d buttons- chipboard underneath and then covered with paper. The sentiment is by Stamping Bella.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafty Sentiments- for a child
Deep Ocean Challenges- punches and dies
Scrap Creations- It's a girl thing
My Time to Craft- garden theme
Oldie but a goodie- on the farm or in the garden (used old PTI button die)
Karen's Doodles- for kids
Love to Create- anything goes
Crafty Creations- for little girls
Simon Says Challenge- anything goes
CCEE- Scallops, flowers, buttons
Moving along with the times- gardening or flowers
Crafty Catz- anything goes
Fussy and Fancy- punches and dies

Here is her close up! Cute, no?!

Sketch Saturday- Pudding Chester!

Hello folks! Hope you're all well. Sorry I still haven't been around this week. I've still got some health issues so I'm trying to spend as little time as poss on the PC so I'm just doing my DT work at the mo. Bear with me please! But I am going to try to do my new craft stash video over the weekend so I hope you can drop by to have a look!

Anyway, it's Saaaaturday! So I have another Sketch Saturday card for you!

Yes, I know it's another Christmas card! I hope you're not getting too bored of these! It's wierd but generally I tend to colour up a load of images in advance and then start making cards later and it just seems at the moment that alot of the sketches I'm doing seem to be lending themselves to the Christmas images I've coloured! Anyway this is my 6th Christmas card of 2012! I've used Pudding Chester from Pollycraft and have coloured with copics with usual lyra pencil shadow. The papers are by Echo Park called Jolly Holly Christmas. This will be for my bro as he likes his Christmas pud!

Close up of colouring! Sorry the photos are a bit duff today, couldn't get the light right.

Jo's fabbie sketch. Loved this sketch- the triangular shape is so unusual!!! This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Pages of Memories so come and join us and take a look at the inspiration from the fabulous Sketch Saturday girls!!!

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Pollycraft); Copics; Lyra pencils; Papers (Echo Park); Assorted cardstock; Sentiment (Craftwork Cards); Nailheads (Josy Rose)

Anything Goes Challenge- Tick Tock Goes the Clock

Hello! It's Tuesday so that can only mean one thing- it's time for another Anything Goes Challenge! This week's theme is "Tick Tock Goes the Clock" so think anything time related, Steampunk etc.

Here is my card...
The main image and sentiment are an MFT A La Mode called I Need Some Face Time. I did a bit of a play on words with the clock face as well- gettit?! The clock stamp is by Stampington. I coloured the main image with copics, I paper pieced her shorts and added shading with Lyra pencils. This is one of my fav images as I think she looks a bit like me! These gorgeous papers are by MME Blush purchased at The Craft Den.

Close up of colouring!

...And another! How gorgeous is that flowery rose paper??!!

Do pop over and have a look at the rest of the DT's creations. As ever we have such a fabbie diverse range of styles! Come on over and join us!

Sketch Saturday- Ragged Angel!

Hello friends! How are you doing? I'm back in the land of the living and want to apologise for not visiting any of you but for the past few weeks all my posts have been scheduled as I've been in and out of hospital.

I'm still not feeling great so I feel like my mojo has gone a bit awol right now. Anyway, as I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself...yep, you guessed what's coming.... I've had a bit of a spend!! I've just done a huge paper (and die) order and a MASSIVE Stamping Bella order so I will be doing a couple of videos to show you my new stash! Watch this space!

Anyway, I managed to make this card for my Sketch Saturday DT.... another Christmas card and I've just realised it's quite similar to the last card I posted!!! See? Mojo awol!!!

I used another of Mo Manning's gorgeous Christmas images, this one is called Ragged Angel. I coloured with copics and brush markers and shading with watercolour pencils. I also added Stickles for the snow at her feet and snowflakes. Papers are Authentique- Wonder. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink Photo Finishers stamp set. The holly branch is a Memory Box die and the small holly die is Papertrey Ink.

Close up of colouring!

Anything Goes Challenge- Anything Goes!

Happy Tuesday to you! Well I'm on a roll with my Christmas cards (kind of!) so I decided to do another one for today's challenge over at Anything Goes which is Anything Goes!!! Why not come over and join us and take the opportunity to make a Christmas card like me?

I love this cute image by Nellie Snellen called Hokey Pokey purchased from The Craft Den. I coloured her with mainly copics and some watercolour pencils here and there. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (as is the matching die) and is my first time of using since I got it in my Christmas stash. These beautiful papers are called Wonder by Authentique. The holly die was also in my Christmas stash!

I'm really pleased with the colouring on this. I tried out some new techniques like the dotty background effect which I've seen around in blogland and using a white pencil (without blending) to add highlights . I used that technique on my Lulu Love Poppies card the other week but forgot to tell you! I think it works really well against strong dark colours. What do you think?

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Nellie Snellen, Whimsy Stamps); Copics; Watercolour pencils; Papers (Authentique); Assorted cardstock; Holly die (Memory Box); Postage stamp die (Whimsy); Gold Stickles; Nailheads (Josy Rose)

Come on over and join us. The DT's designs are awesome this week! x
