Sketch Saturday- Party Koala!

It's Saaaaaturday! Time for another Sketch Saturday challenge! I do hope you can join us today! My card for this week's sketch is a card for a friend's little boy's birthday featuring Party Koala.

I coloured Party Koala from Whipper Snapper using copics and a bit of watercolour and lyra pencils. These lovely papers are from my recent new craft stash called Fine and Dandy Boy by MME. The sentiment is a Whispers one and is actually one of the first stamps I ever bought! Stars are made using Star Nesties and the star border is a MFT die.

A little close up of the cute little fella!

Sketch Saturday- In the manger!

Hellooooo! How goes it? I hope your Saturday is getting off to a good start. My DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday is my second Christmas card of the year!

I'm just loving colouring these Mo Manning digi images I got for Christmas. As ever coloured with copics and lyra shading. These fun wintry papers are Winter Park by Echo Park. I quite like the splash of red against the blues. Scalloped edge die is by Papertrey Ink as is the sentiment which is from the Holiday Photo Finishers set plus I used one of the matching dies to cut out and emboss.

Close up of my colouring!

Anything Goes Challenge- Get ready for Easter!

Hello hello! How are you all today? Today's card is for my DT work over at Anything Goes Challenge. This week's challenge is "Get ready for Easter"!!

To be honest, I don't really make Easter cards except I sometimes make one for my late Dad's pen friend in the US so here is this year's! As it has to be posted to the US, I tend to make them entirely flat with no embellies on. This is the first Meljen Designs image I've bought though I've been eyeing them up for a while. I coloured with usual mixture of copics and lyra pencils. Do you like my new grass technique? It's inspired from Paulabella. These beautiful papers are by October Afternoon. The sentiment is PC-generated.

Close up! How happy a bunny is he?

Don't forget you can buy all your crafty stash including copics from The Craft Den! Do pop over to the Anything Goes Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT's designs! Absolutely fabbie this week! x

Sketch Saturday- Ohm!

Happy Saturday! It's Sketch Saturday time!!! Are you ready for another of Jo's fabbie sketches?! Here is my DT card for this week...

It's using Yogabella from Stamping Bella. I coloured her with copics and used lyra pencils for shading. I paper pieced her top to match the backing papers. These papers are from one of the new pads I purchased by MME called On The Bright Side 2. I thought the colours were really fresh and restful so thought they'd be perfect for use with yogabella. I added machine stitching on the papers for interest. The bottom scalloped edging was created using an edgers die from PTI and the flowers were created using rolled rose Die-namic die. The grey foliage is created using the Sizzix rolled pinecone die which comes with this foliage too. The sentiment comes with the image.

I love her hair in bunches- so cute! Yoga is obviously doing her some good judging by her smile!!!

Here is Jo's fabbie sketch!

Don't forget we are sponsored by the very wonderful Bunny Zoe Crafts this week! So why not pop on over and check out the rest of the DT's work and have a play!

Sketch Saturday- Urchin with bird!

Hi everyone! Hope you've had a great week and are looking forward to a fun weekend! It's Sketch Saturday time again!! Here is my DT card- a Christmas card for my wonderful Mum. Yes, I've started making Christmas cards this early again!

Is it OK to say that I'm really pleased with how this has turned out? I know my Mum will love it. I have to say it's mainly down to this fabulous Mo Manning image!!! How gorgeous is it?? She really is so talented! I coloured Urchin with Bird with a mixture of copics and lyra/watercolour pencils. The papers are by Simple Stories called 25 Days of Christmas- they really are beautiful. I added some gold card borders using a Dienamics border die and added some champagne hot fix crystals as my Mum likes a bit of bling! Then I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die and Festive Greenery die to create some festive greenery! It's the first time I've used the pinecone die so I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I inked up the edges of the pinecones with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder and then added Crystal Stickles over the top. The berries are recycled from last year's Christmas crackers!

Here is my card made for my brother's birthday....

I used this great stamp set from MFT called Who's That Geek Guy? Papers are fabbie MME All Spice purchased from The Craft Den. I really need some more men's papers that aren't all bright red/blues/yellows, you know? Anyone know of any? All I see really are papers aimed at boys and teenagers but not men really apart from these ones but I'm running out!! I coloured with copics and paper pieced his chair, shirt and the desk- love that wood grain paper!! The sentiment is one of a load that come with the stamp set.

Do come along and join us today and have a look at the rest of the DT's designs!

Have a fabulous rest of the week and I'll see you on Saturday! xxx

Sketch Saturday- Here's to you!

Hello and Happy Saturday to you! Hope you've had a lovely start to your weekend!

It's Sketch Saturday time so here is my DT card....

I have used MFT's A La Mode "Cheers". I actually coloured her yonks ago so she's still coloured with watercolour pencils (I've moved to colouring more with copics now). Her dress was crying out to be paper pieced so I used these gorgeous MME papers "A Happy Heart". I used nesties to create the 2 circles and the deckle edged rectangle. The little heart is die cut from the Papertrey Ink mini tags set and I added a champagne hot fix crystal to add a bit more glamour! Her champagne glass is covered with Glossy Accents with Glamour Dust sprinkled in it. Glitter brads are from The Craft Den.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafty Catz- punches or dies
Fairy Tale- paper piecing
Divas by Design- spots and/or stripes
Simon Says- anything goes
