Moved in!

Hello all! Well, we're finally moved in! Yay! The chaos has subsided but there's still plenty to do as we're going to be redecorating the whole house, including knocking down a few walls BUT I thought I'd take a break from the mundane and post a few cards I've made for the Craft for Life project.

I'll be posting some before and after shots of my craft room soon! I went and got some tester pots yesterday and picked out a colour so hopefully will get a chance to start painting next week with any luck. Am really looking forward to my new room. Hubbie has bought me a new desk too!!

So anyway, onto my first card which is Billboardabella. I coloured her in with watercolours and cut out with nesties. The paper is all from a Spring Papermania pad.

Here is a little close up. Are you digging her green eyeshadow?!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella); Watercolour pencils; Paper (Papermania); Assorted cardstock; Nesties; Flower (Poppicrafts); Brad (Woodware)

Onto my second card made with 3 of the stamps from one of the Penny Black Transparent sets. I lined them all up on an acrylic block so they looked like they were all walking in a line, cute huh? All coloured with watercolour pencils and glittery highlights added. The sentiment is Lily of the Valley. Paper is an old paper scrap but I think it may be DCWV?

Another little close up. I love this little mousie, he's SO cute!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Paper (DCWV?); Stickles; Sentiment (LOTV); Gems (freebie); Assorted cardstock

And finally last Craft for Life card is an Elzybells one. I've coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress. Cut out with nesties and added a Stamping Bella sentiment. Paper is all Making Memories.

Anyway, I must get on with more house stuff. I hope to be able to drop by your blogs when I've got a bit more time. Don't forget to keep popping by as I have some more Craft for Life cards and hopefully craft room photies to show you. Take care xxx

Packing up!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all OK. I haven't really got much time for crafting at the mo so just two quick cards today I'm afraid. I've started packing in earnest now as we exchanged on Friday and are due to move next Saturday!! Yay!! The sad thing is that I packed up most of my craft stuff today. Booooo! So I won't be able to craft for a few weeks but I will be posting some cards I've made and haven't shown you before so do pop by. Plus the exciting thing is that I will have a new craft room in our new house and this time it's actually a whole room for me rather than sharing it with the sofa bed, chest of drawers and treadmill like in our old house!! Can't wait so watch this space for photos of new room too!!

Anyway, onto my first card of the day. This is a Mother's Day card for my Mum-in-law. I must admit I have rushed this a bit as I didn't have a lot of time to get it done but I think she'll like it. I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner. Penny Black image coloured with watercolour pencils. The blue papers are doodlebug, the yellow was a freebie in a mag. The 2 sentiments were in a Margaret Sherry freebie with a mag a few years ago. I added a bit of glitter on all the flowers but you can't really see it on the photo. (Sorry I still haven't sorted out my camera!)

Crafty stash used: Image (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Nesties; Fine black liner; Papers (Doodlebug, Freebie); Punch (Fiskars); Sentiments (Freebies); Flowers (Freebie & The Works); Assorted cardstock; Stickles

And onto my second card. This is my first card for the Craft for Life project. I've made 10 cards which I'll be showing you over the next few weeks as I can't do any crafting. It's a bit of a shame but unfortunately I haven't really have the time to devote to them that I would like to have had but I still think they've turned out OK and hopefully someone will want to buy them. It made such a nice change to work with such tiny cards (C6) and I really enjoyed making them.

For this one I used one of the Penny Black mice from one of the transparent sets. I thought these small cards were a great opportunity to use all my smaller stamps and scraps of paper and card as you're working on a smaller scale. I coloured him with watercolour pencils and highlighted areas with brush markers. I sponged some red ink around the edges of the image and added some gold Stickles and doodling. The paper is Basic Grey.

Here's a little close up of the wee mousie!

The original Bella!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all OK. I'm still continuing with our throw out before moving but I don't really seem to be getting anywhere. You know when you're tidying and you just seem to be making more mess?!! Well, that's my house at the moment!!

Firstly I must apologise for the quality of these photos. I think the setting has changed on my camera so everything is coming out a bit dark. I know nothing about cameras so will have to confer with hubbie so sorry they are so rubbish!! So onto my first card of the day, here's a birthday card I've made for a crafty friend. We keep saying we're going to have a crafting day so I put this card together with that in mind. I've used the original Stamping Bella! I've coloured her with a mixture of Lyra pencils and copics and have done alot of paper piecing on her- check out her crafting tote! I added a bit of sparkle to her as I think you should always look your best when crafting! lol. The papers are all Dream Street. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts tags and tickets set but I just cut out the sentiment.

Here is a close up of her. I love that her dress matches her tote- imagine being that colour coordinated!!

I'd like to enter her for the following challenges:

One Stop- "Pink"

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella, Hero Arts); Lyra pencils; Copics; Paper (Dream Street); Assorted cardstock; Nesties; Punch (MS); Stickles; Gems (free); Button (recycled); Thread (Arty Miss)

My second card is for a friend's little boy's birthday. I've used the cute little FF bear and coloured with watercolour pencils. Again, I've done some paper piecing and added the recipient's name on the tag and a bit of doodling round the edge. The papers are all by Making Memories. The sentiment is Elzybells.

Here is his little close-up. I like how the paper piecing turned out on the pressie.

I'd like to enter this card for the following challenges:

And finally my sis asked me to make her a card for my Mum for Mother's Day so here it is! The various flower stamps are from the Autumn Leaves Fine and Dandy set. I coloured with copics and added some glitter and hot fix crystals. I also sponged blue ink around the edges after I'd cut out with nesties. The papers are all from DCWV Fun in the Sun stack. Sorry, the photo is particularly bad on this one and doesn't do the card any favours, it looks much nicer in real life! lol. I put the image on foam pads to make it pop a bit and added this gorgeous spray that I won in some blog candy.

I'd like to enter this for:
