Christmas gifts

Hi! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Just thought I'd do a post of a present I made for my sis for Christmas- a planner. She's always making lists of things to do so I thought this would be a good present to make. The base is a Maya Road chipboard 5 ring binder from Graphicus. The front cover is covered with paper from American Crafts from Sarah's Cards. The writing is printed out from my PC using Tall Paul font. The heart is from a Making Memories tag maker set which I filled with pink card and added a flower, button and ribbon. The tied ribbons are from Poppicrafts.
The first page inside is for exercise plans (my sis likes her exercise!) and is a Stamping Bella image. The paper is from the Pastel Papermania set, as is the embellishment. Image is coloured with watercolour pencils.
The second page is for work planning. The image is Pink Petticoat coloured in with watercolour pencils and highlighted with Crystal Stickles. Paper is from Retro Papermania kit, as is sticky ribbon. Flower from Poppicrafts, brad from Woodware.
The next page is for shopping lists. Image from Pink Petticoat coloured in with watercolour pencils and highlighted with Crystal Stickles and a gel pen. Paper and card is from American Crafts and I added some hot fix crystals.
Next image is holiday planning. Image from Pink Petticoat coloured in with watercolour pencils, highlighted with Crystal Stickles, gel pens and pink Liquid Pearls. Paper and card is from American Crafts and I added a flower gem from Joanna Sheen.
The next page is for birthday planning. Image from Pink Petticoat, coloured in with watercolour pencils and highlighted with Crystal Stickles and Liquid Pearls. Flowers, ribbon and brad from Poppicrafts, little gem was recycled. Paper and card from American Crafts.
The last page is for Christmas lists. Image from Pink Petticoat coloured with watercolour pencils and highlighted with Gold Stickles. Paper from Artic Frog. Stars were recycled.

Crafty stash used: Chipboard album (Maya Road); Paper (American Crafts, Artic Frog, Papermania); Card (American Crafts); Stamps (Stamping Bella, Pink Petticoat); Watercolour pencils; Crystal & Gold Stickles; Gel pens (Sakura); Liquid Pearls; Flowers (Poppicrafts); Ribbon (Poppicrafts); Heart frame (Making Memories); Brads (Poppicrafts & Woodware); Stars (recycled); Flower gem (Joanna Sheen); Silver flower gem (recycled); Hot fix crystals; A4 paper; hole punch

So I hope you like it. It took me absolutely ages to make- the covering of the pages wasn't as easy as it looked and because of all the rings, I had to punch individual holes for all the paper! Anyway, I think it came out well and my sis liked it! x

Stamping Bella

Hi. I made this card about a month ago for a friend of mine who's pregnant. Whether it's because of who it is for and the occasion but I think this is one of my most favourite cards!! I love this image so much- especially the cute teddy bear in the bag and I love the pastel colours.

The image is Stamping Bella which I coloured in with watercolour pencils. The papers are all from the Papermania Pastel kit which I've layered up using a sketch from Papertake Weekly (I think!) The sentiment and gorgeous leaf are also from the Papermania Pastel kit and I added a flower which I dotted with Crystal Stickles and a green mini brad. I finished off with some blue hot fix crystals.

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Stamping Bella); Watercolour pencils; Paper- Pastel kit (Papermania); Sentiment & leaf (Papermania); Brad (Woodware); Flower (Ebay); Crystal Stickles; Hot fix crystals (London Bead Co).

P.S. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who sent me messages of support over the last couple of weeks, I really do appreciate it x

Cupcake Craft Challenge 16

Hello! This week's challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge is set by me! Yay! I've set the challenge of "Vintage". I thought this would be a real challenge as pretty much all of the cards I've been making for a while have been "cute". However, for all of you addicted to your "cute" style (like me, don't worry I'm not giving it up!!), I've made the challenge as broad as possible by saying if you don't want to do the full vintage style, you can make anything you want as long as it includes one vintage element to it. Hope you'll play along this week with me!

So here is the card I made- I went for the full vintage look! I think this stamp is soooo beautiful and actually doesn't look like a stamp! It's by The Stampsmith and I think she looks so dreamy. I mounted her on some matching card and added this gorgeous corners which were in a Papermania kit with these papers. I inked the edges of the papers with Vintage Photo ink and finally added a sentiment, tag and some lovely gold sheer ribbon. The sketch is based around an old Friday Sketchers sketch I think.

Crafty stash used: Stamp (The Stampsmith); Paper (Papermania); Vintage photo ink (Ranger); Sentiment, tag, photo corners (Papermania); Ribbon (Recycled)
