Mama Elephant- Polar Pals!

Hi all!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. Today I have a Mama Elephant Christmas card to share with you featuring Polar Pals....

I've had this set ages- didn't get a chance to use it last year so at long last I've been able to colour it up! I coloured with copics and die cut using the matching dies. I die cut an aperture in a kraft card blank and stamped the SSS circular holiday sentiment around it. The snowy paper is by LOTV, gingham paper by SEI. I also paper pieced the male penguin's scarf with it! I added one of the accompanying sentiments at the top- it went a bit smudgy afterwards, I'm not sure why!

How's your Christmas card total going? I've made about half of mine plus I've coloured up some images to use so not tooooo bad!! x

Stamping Bella- Unicorns leaping over rainbows!

Hey everyone!

Just a very quick post as just about to pick up my wee one from preschool. So I thought I'd enter this week's Bellarific Friday which was a rainbowy colour inspiration. I've been meaning to colour up these sweetie unicorns for yonks so this seemed the perfect opportunity...

I used 2 of the unicorns from the Set Of Unicorns set and then the sentiment from the Unicorn Sentiment set and coloured with copics. I added Stickles to their wings and horn. Rainbow die and clouds dies are from MFT though I didn't use the cloud that comes with the rainbow die! I layered all up with 3d foam pads. Stamped the sentiment and added some sequins.

I got my inspiration for this card from this card by Melania.

Can you tell I'm in a rush??....! See ya.....

Gorjuss- Holly

Hey everyone!

Is it just me or does it really feel autumnal all of a sudden? One minute we had some gorgeously sunny warm days and then, boom, autumn!!

Started to panic a bit about Christmas cards so I'm concentrating on those for a bit but hopefully you'll see some non-Chrismasy ones in-between!

This is one of those mini Gorjuss stamps called Holly. I bought a job lot off Ebay and didn't realise just quite how small they were. Some of them are fine but there are a few in that range that are really just TOO small!!! I guess I'll have to use them for teeny CAS cards. I coloured Holly with Distress Markers and added some snow using a white gel pen. The papers are MME that I distressed. The two holly dies are by PTI as is the large Damask Snowflake die. The sentiment is by Waltzing Mouse who sadly are no more. Finally added some recycled lace- had such a gorgeous antique look to it.

Here's your close up. So cute! You can just about make out the holly on her dress!

Mama Elephant- Pix's Favourites

Hey everyone!

We've had a dismal day here in Essex with non-stop pouring rain! I managed to find a little time in the craft room whilst my wee one was at preschool so I made a teeny card using Mama Elephant's Pix's Favourites...

I love this little set because, well, I'm a sucker for cute little bunnies but also because they're a great size for paper piecing and are suitable for loads of occasions. This little one is cute for Winter birthdays and Christmas cards.

I coloured her with copics and paper pieced her dress and scarf using SEI papers. I then cut out using the matching dies. I made a little gold frame using the Mama Elephant Peek A Frame die set and cut off the two bottom windows to create a square which I adhered onto the top of a square of SEI paper. Finally added a Christmasy sentiment from the Polar Pals set and a die cut heart from the Creative Cuts Basic set.

Lili of the Valley- Dropping The Shopping!

Hi everyone!!

How are you all? Can't believe it's the end of the school holidays but hopefully that does mean I'll have a bit more (read: SOME!) crafting time! Yay!

Today I thought I'd show you a Christmas card I made for the LOTV Facebook Challenge for September which is a colour challenge. I decided to use the red, green and beige colours.

I coloured Dropping The Shopping with Distress markers. I stamped a LOTV sentiment half off the image. Papers are by MME and I distressed them and painted on some gesso. I made a Doohickey poinsettia and added some gold beads to the centre and some gesso to the edges. The snowflake banner is by La La Land with some gesso added. Finally sandwiched in some cheesecloth and added a Craftwork cards sentiment.

Here's your close up. I'm still learning but I'm pretty pleased with the Distress Inks on this one. I went for a much more muted, gentle feel- you like?

Stamping Bella- Edna Loves The Ocean!

Hey everyone!

Have you seen the new release over at Stamping Bella? AMAZING as usual! Get yourself on over to the blog and leave a comment and you can win yourself part of the release!

I've been getting serious crafting withdrawals over this Summer holiday but I managed to whip up this Edna card last week to enter into this week's Bellarific Friday...

So I coloured up Edna Loves The Ocean with copics and fussy cut. I made the background by stamping individual elements from Tiny Townie Frances Loves To Float. I coloured them with copics, masked them out and then sponged inks over the top. I then removed the masking tape and added Pico Embellisher to the sunglasses and Wink Of Stella to the sun. I raised the frame up on 3D foam pads and attached Edna to the top. The background paper is from American Crafts and provided a fab contrast- very deckchair-ish stripes! Finally I used masking tape to individually stamp out each line of the sentiment and adhered each one.

Here's your close up. Isn't Edna just THE most glam beach-goer you've ever seen?! Love her Betty Gable-esque swimmy!

Love Cynthia- Make Happiness A Habit!

Hi ya.

Hope you're all enjoying the holidays! I haven't really had much time to do any crafting lately so a lot of the cards I've been showing recently are ones I've made previously. I can't wait to get down to some decent craft time in a few weeks!

Anyway, today I thought I'd share a cutie made with the Love Cynthia- Make Happiness A Habit stamp set...

I stamped out the three girls and coloured with copics- loving the funky hair colours! Then I paper pieced their dresses using MFT paper. I die cut the word "happy" using MFT Dienamics and adhered some of the MFT paper behind. I then stamped the sentiments either side of the "happy" using my MISTI for placement. I then adhered the girlies around the sentiment. Finally stamped a couple of hearts using PTI Lovely Lady ink.
